John Krumich is the founder and artistic director of The American Children of SCORE in Virginia, and the co-founder of the original Children of SCORE group in Savannah, Georgia, with Lynne Tobin. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio; graduate work includes a full year of study at the Orff Institut in Salzburg, Austria, and a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, NYC.

Mr. Krumich has been a presenter and clinician at numerous music education conferences, including the International Society for Music Education in Amsterdam in 1996. He has 20 years experience teaching music at the Kindergarten through eighth grade level in public and private schools.

He is a composer and arranger of many works specifically for SCORE's instrumentation. The American Children of SCORE premiered his SAINT WENCESLAS, a musical play, on December 21, 1997, and his Appalachian folk opera YONDER MOUNTAIN with The Opera Theatre of Northern Virginia in June 2001.

Lynne Tobin teaches strings and photography at the Emerson School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is director of the Junior and Sterling String Orchestras and co-director, with Janet Mattke, of the Michigan Children of SCORE (String, Choral, Orff and Recorder Ensemble) for the School for the Performing Arts-Ann Arbor.

Prior to living in Ann Arbor, Lynne was the instrumental string instructor at the Savannah (GA) Country Day School and a cellist with the Savannah Symphony for 15 years. While in Savannah, Lynne built a substantial string program at SCDS, established the Junior and Senior String Ensembles for the Savannah Symphony and, with John Krumich, co-founded the original Children of SCORE. She was well-respected for her work with children of all ages and much loved as an active member of the Savannah community. To honor and thank Lynne for all she had given to Savannah's musical community, the Mayor of Savannah declared April 18, 1994, LYNNE TOBIN DAY in the city of Savannah.

Lynne grew up in Plymouth, Michigan and graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy. She received a B.M. (Cello Performance) from the University of Michigan and an M.M. from Northern Illinois University.
